The Schlossmuseum takes you on a long raft trip from Wolfratshausen via Munich and Ismaning to Vienna. How can we imagine such a journey? The special exhibition uses photographs, paintings, drawings and three-dimensional objects, such as raft models and tools, to explain the basics of rafting. What did a raft look like? What was transported? Who were the men who ran this not entirely harmless business? How did rafting change over the centuries due to the regulation of the Isar, the construction of hydroelectric power stations and alternative means of transport?
