Traditional dress is alive – it changes, adapts and is reinterpreted by each generation.
The exhibition ‘anders beTRACHTet’ invites visitors to discover traditional clothing from unusual perspectives and to explore its many different forms.
More than just an item of clothing, traditional dress tells stories and reflects social developments. The meaning of the word has evolved from ‘what is worn’ or ‘the way it is worn’ (Old High German ‘draht’, Middle Low German ‘dracht’) to the modern concept of a traditional dress code.
This exhibition opens up space for new perspectives – take a closer look!

Opening hours:
Thursdays from 2 pm to 5 pm
Fridays from 10 am to 1 pm
Every second Sunday of the month from 11 am to 4 pm
