(K)ein Puppenheim. Old role plays and new images of people
Exhibition at the Münchner Stadtmuseum (Munich City Museum)
22.04.2023 - 07.01.2024 ,
Sammlung Goetz (Goetz collection)
For more than 30 years, the Puppet Theatre / Showmanship Collection was present in the Münchner Stadtmuseum (Munich City Museum) as a permanent exhibition on puppet history and has thus become history itself. The interdisciplinary cooperation (K)ein Puppenheim. Old Role-Playing and New Images of Man with the Sammlung Goetz (Goetz collection) and the Sammlung Fotografie (Photography collection) of the Münchner Stadtmuseum (Munich City Museum) takes the impending closure and general renovation of the museum as an opportunity to open up the collections for dialogue with works of contemporary art.
The web app is the first prototype of the Sammlung Goetz (Goetz collection) to be used on the occasion of the cooperative exhibition (K)ein Puppenheim at the Münchner Stadtmuseum (Munich City Museum). It should be noted that not all web app content will be available in its entirety at the beginning of the runtime, but will be added to gradually - this applies, among other things, to the offerings in sign language, the video tour or the interaction formats for children and young people.
