Television, western orientation, secondary education for all, later the internet and globalisation have changed the lives of children in Germany since the 1950s.
But how did previous generations live and experience their childhood? In our special exhibition, we look back to the period from 1900 to 1950 and provide insights into the school days, leisure time and everyday life of children living at that time.
The objects in this exhibition are on loan from Rothenburg and neighbourhood residents who, together with their memories, bring the time back to life.
