The exhibition is held under the patronage of Mieczysław Struk, Marshal of the Pomeranian Voivodeship, and takes place as part of the partnership between the Voivodeship and the District of Middle Franconia. KAMA KUIK was born in Puck (West Prussia/Pomeranian Voivodeship) on the Baltic Sea. She is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. For over twenty years, she has been painting portraits — faces that tell stories. In the portraits of fishermen created in 2019–2020, cool shades of blue and green dominate — the colours of the Baltic Sea, which forms the backdrop to her life and work.
