Exchange programmes for artists have a long tradition. The opportunity to live and work in a foreign place for a certain period of time has lost none of its fascination.

The Rathausgalerien (City Hall Galleries) brings together three artist residencies initiated by Munich artists: AlmResidency, Jet Leg and LongegaProject. Artists from Mozambique, South Korea and southern Italy have been invited to take part.

The exhibition thematises collective collaboration, international exchange and the crossing of borders. A modular "installation on wheels" will be created, accompanied by a diverse supporting programme in German, English and German sign language. Visitors of all ages are invited to participate, discuss and reflect on the most pressing issues of our globalised age.

With city-wide activities such as the Museo Mobile, "Want to stay where I have never been" will enter the public space. Among other things, flags of artists who are unable to take part in the project in person for individual reasons will be displayed on the façade of the Department of Culture (Burgstraße 4) near Marienplatz.
