Important information:
Over the past three decades, photographer and filmmaker Manfred Jahreiß has photographed and filmed porcelain makers from Upper Franconia, the Upper Palatinate and Thuringia. Inspired by the characters, the diversity of the professions and the life stories, Manfred Jahreiß set out to trace the footsteps of those who had once brought the now dwindling porcelain industry to its heyday. The result is 50 striking portraits, which are now on display at the Porzellanikon Selb to mark the 600th anniversary of the town of Selb.
