With its exhibition on Peter Conrad Schreiber, the Obermain Landscape Museum at Plassenburg Castle is dedicating itself to a 19th-century painter whose work is being brought together here on a large scale. The landscape painter Peter Conrad Schreiber (1816–1894), who was in great demand during his lifetime, left behind a diverse oeuvre that provides an impressive insight into the artistic and cultural history of his era. The fact that numerous works from private collections in Kulmbach have been made available for this exhibition lends the presentation a special authenticity and opens up new perspectives on an artist who is less well known today.
The exhibition can be visited daily from 10:00 a.m. and otherwise during museum opening hours and at the museum admission prices. The exhibition is not barrier-free. Please call 09221/947-505 for more information. Thank you!
