A hymn to water, air and freedom

The dream of boundless freedom when flying and the almost weightlessness of diving into the water provides plenty of material for the two artist friends from Munich, Marlies Poss and Irene Bauer-Conrad.
What they have in common is the knowledge that art is inherently linked to a certain illusion or deception. What moves them can be experienced in our smallest gallery, which is used as a studio, flying school and exhibition space at the same time. Floating Swimming Flying and immersing.
For Irene Bauer-Conrad, the search for traces is at the centre of her artistic work.
"Searching for traces to try something new". With photography, painting, objects, conceptual art and a pronounced passion for collecting, she can look back on a long creative phase.
For Marlies Poss, the choice of materials means that there are always new ways of visualising the incomprehensible. "The pure idea and thought is alienated in art."
The exhibition offers a wide range of different materials: transparent gauze, translucent parchment, spun wire, found objects from nature and many traces of rust form the basis for the graceful art objects, which are guaranteed not to sink.
