Nuremberg photographer Meike Männel (born 1991) lives and works in Großreuth. After studying at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste (Academy of Fine Arts) in Nuremberg, she moved to this rural suburb of Nuremberg in 2017 and began her ongoing series titled Großreuth. For the exhibition space in the Neues Museum, she has composed a cross-section over the course of the seasons.

Her special photographs of plants and vegetation in bright flash light at dawn and dusk have an exotic effect. A supposed "weed" suddenly appears to be an extraordinary plant. Nuremberg shows itself from a completely different side in this exhibition.
