Inside out - New Arrivals

In addition to the lively exhibition activities at the Kunstforum Oberschönenfeld (Museum Oberschönenfeld), the continuous expansion of the art collection and its documentation are among the central tasks of the museum.

Over the past three years, the art collection has been expanded through suitable donations and targeted acquisitions. Large print collections by the painter, graphic artist and poet Jörg Scherkamp (1935-1983) and the draughtsman and graphic artist Klaus Schröter (1934-2005) have been added. Both are among the early art prize winners of the district of Swabia.

The donations made it possible to close gaps in this area of the collection. A selection of the political and socially critical works can be seen on the ground floor.

The generous exhibition space on the upper floor reflects the diversity of contemporary art: installations by Stephan Huber and Adi Hoesle meet photographs by Karen Irmer and Daniel Biskup. Two large graphite works by Burga Endhardt (1961-2019) can be seen alongside an early landscape painting. Paper objects by Dorothea Reese-Heim and Maja Vogl are juxtaposed with ceramic works by Jochen Rüth, Andrea Platten and Peter Burkhardt.

"Inside out" - from the inside of the depot to the outside in the rooms of the Kunstforum: Museum Oberschönenfeld (Museum Oberschönenfeld) presents the latest works of art, documenting its extensive collection work.

At the same time, the exhibition brings together the thematic diversity of the Kunstforum in a unique way.
