All meadows have their own sound – but why are they becoming increasingly quiet? The exhibition is dedicated to the acoustic diversity of meadows and pastures in ten themed islands and a sound tent. Bamboo structures almost three metres high and the representation of animal sounds allow visitors to see things from the perspective of a blade of grass. Land.schafft.Klang combines scientific findings in ecoacoustics with sound art. It picks up on the calls of extinct animal species, allowing visitors to experience how human activity is changing our landscape.
A travelling exhibition by the Bavarian Association for Local History with the support of the Bavarian Association for Bird and Nature Conservation (Munich branch) and the Rosner & Seidl Foundation.
