With this exhibition, the Museum im Kulturspeicher Würzburg (Museum in the Culture Granary Würzburg) is deepening the city partnership between Würzburg and Lviv (Lemberg) in the area of cultural exchange. In co-operation with the renowned Lviv National Academy of Arts, the MiK is showing a total of 15 paintings by young Ukrainian artists.
On display are artworks by students that were created during the war - in the silence of the emergency shelters, by torchlight or in the short breaks between the air raid alarms. Each of these pictures is not only an artistic statement, but also an inner testimony to resilience, strength of spirit and a deep belief in the future.
