The poster motif shows the meeting of German princes in Kelheim to mark the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Leipzig in 1913. Even Kaiser Wilhelm II was present. Nevertheless, hardly any of the princes suspected that war would break out a year later. This global conflagration changed everything.

The exhibition tells of Bavarian war aims, the Bavarian air force, the deaths of soldiers and the plight of the civilian population, of failed peace initiatives, but also of a love story in the midst of war.
