Paper bags, these practical carrying aids made of paper, are an integral part of the oeuvre of the painter and draughtsman Thitz. The packing paper of the bag becomes the painting ground or is worked into the canvas, sometimes obviously, sometimes hidden, sometimes they are real bags, sometimes just a handle, but in his pictures he always shows us the world as he sees it. Above all, he shows us people from different cultures, cheerful, peaceful and colourful.
