In 1999, the district of Neu-Ulm opened the Museum für bildende Kunst im Landkreis Neu-Ulm (Museum of fine arts in the district of Neu-Ulm). With this, it also began an active collecting activity. Above all, works by regional artists are in demand. The collection thus offers an overview of artistic creation in the district of Neu-Ulm.

The works of art represent a great variety of techniques, materials and motifs. Nevertheless, a fascination for the subject of man can be detected: Be it persons with all corners and edges, perfected visions or even abstract depictions. Each artist makes a different statement or rather each viewer perceives a different one. But the pictures have one thing in common: they were created so that the people in them are perceived.

Under the title "Look at me!", the exhibition shows and interprets works from the art collection of the Neu-Ulm district. In a cabinet, you can also get creative yourself.
