From plants!

The title of the anniversary exhibition to mark 10 years of the Museum der Gartenkultur (Museum of garden culture) "What made of plants? Surprising materials from elecampane to chicory" suggests that the viewer may encounter the unexpected, the astonishing and the strange. Curator Dr Reinhard P. Hemmer, founding member of the Garden Culture Foundation, has compiled a wealth of examples in whose production plants are the source of raw materials and ingredients. The educts, the "source plants", and their diverse products are presented under twelve very different themes ranging from art to food and energy, and the connections between them are shown. The wonderful world of nature's materials - on display in and around the Museum der Gartenkultur (Museum of garden culture) until 30 September 2023.
