Museum Brandhorst presents Andy Warhol & Keith Haring. Party of Life, the world's first major exhibition to bring the two artists together. Despite their different ages and styles, the two artists shared a friendship within New York's vibrant art and club scene. Inspired by Keith Haring's birthday motto "Party of Life", the show delves into the cultural cosmos of the 1980s, characterised by MTV, discos, voguing, hip-hop, new wave and graffiti. With over 120 works, including collaborations and interactive projects with contemporaries, as well as accompanying films and archives, it opens up new perspectives on these icons of art history. "Party of Life" thus offers new perspectives on the two iconic artists at the Museum Brandhorst, which houses the largest Warhol collection outside the USA and a growing collection of Haring works.
