The exhibition presents over 60 works by artists from Hof and the region, mainly from the second half of the 20th century. In addition to locally well-known artists, there are also nationally significant artists such as Johann Christian Reinhart, Wilhelm Kohlhoff and Armin Sandig, who are at the cutting edge of artistic development in their time in a wide variety of techniques, styles and motifs. But lesser-known artists and even amateurs - some motivated by the hobby painter Ludwig Hauenstein himself - are also part of this individually assembled private collection. A rare insight into the passion of an art collector!
