Freedom to dream

The interactive exhibition for young and old explorers invites them to explore their own ideas of freedom in a playful and creative way. Art and play are used to embark on a personal journey through this multifaceted topic.

Whether it's freedom of assembly, freedom of art or freedom of speech, the exhibition offers many ways to engage with the different aspects and the reality of one's own life. In addition to interactive stations, there is a room dedicated entirely to creative freedom. In addition, several stories about freedom fighters invite visitors to immerse themselves in the tales. The storylines, which have been prepared for different age groups, are enriched by accompanying background information. Visitors are encouraged to reflect on questions of personal freedom, the limits of freedom and changes brought about by digital offerings, for example.

The interactive exhibition is suitable for families with children and can be visited from the age of 3 accompanied by an adult. There are age-appropriate activities for the youngest to discover, play and marvel at. Older children and young people can get to the bottom of exciting questions about freedom and democracy.

Children and young people also have rights, which unfortunately are not always the focus of attention. One narrative strand is therefore deliberately dedicated to children's rights and provides information about them. Freedom is a fundamental right of all people and is an important pillar of our society. The exhibition uses artistic expression and playful learning to encourage people to stand up for a fair and free world. Various media approaches help visitors to explore their own personal ideas of freedom in the creative themed rooms.
