"Jellyblossoms" - Rudolf Finisterre
21.09.2025 - 18.01.2026 ,
Luftmuseum Amberg (Amberg Air Museum)
Rudolf Finisterre's theme is "form follows nature". He is particularly interested in growth processes. Sculptures made of various materials such as metal, wood, concrete and silicone interpret forms and structures from nature. The focus is not on what is superficially visible, but on what lies hidden at the heart of things. The inspiration for the Jellyblossoms presented in the Luftmuseum are on the one hand jellyfish, i.e. jellyfish, and on the other hand brain structures consisting of nerve tracts and synapses. The installation, which hangs freely in the room, is set in motion by a wind machine and transformed into a dynamic shadow play by lighting. The sound by LuisCentauri was specially developed for this work and rounds off the experience for all the senses.
Rudolf Finsterre is an architect and visual artist and was a lecturer at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste (Academy of Fine Arts) in Munich. His works can be seen in numerous national and international exhibitions, including the Biennale (Venice), Villa Massimo (Rome), Tefaf (Maastricht) and many more.
