Special exhibition on Roman coins
Roman currency formed the basis of trade, but also served as a means of communication. Important information regarding domestic and foreign policy reached the Limes via the images depicted on coins. What was the story behind this? How well did the local people understand these scenes? Were there coin forgers? These and many other questions relating to Roman currency are explored in this special exhibition.
