Photographer Michael Jostmeier is one of the pioneers of combining computer graphics and photography. In Nuremberg, his pictures can be seen for the first time in an extensive retrospective.

Jostmeier studied visual communication at the Folkwangschule in Essen, specialising in photography under Inge Oswald and the legendary Otto Steinert. He photographed famous personalities such as Willy Brandt, Johannes Rau and Helmut Schmidt as well as the vast landscapes of Latin America and Australia.

The Kunsthaus is also showing some photographs by Heinrich Jostmeier, the photographer's father, which were already on display at the Museum Folkwang in Essen in the 1990s. These photographs are a valuable historical document of a subjective view of the Federal Republic of Germany in the 1950s and 1960s.
