Kornelia Kesel is showing new works from the last five to eight years in her solo exhibition: a tiger making its way to freedom with firearms or an alien accompanied by a cat as an advocate. No matter how surreal the images initially appear, they hit right at the heart of our perception of a world that is becoming more and more unhinged every day. The pictures are often reminiscent of street art, school blackboards or prison walls and are populated by figures from fairy tales, myths and fables.
