With Batia Suter (Amsterdam) and Jens Risch (Berlin), kunst galerie fürth (art gallery fürth) presents two positions that create works of visual power. Batia Suter assembles carefully selected illustrations from old books - enlarged many times over - to create imposing spatial installations. In an artistic process lasting over a thousand hours, Jens Risch knots metre-long threads into filigree structures that can hardly be traced back to their original state. Both Batia Suter's installations and Jens Risch's delicately knotted objects rely on the fascination of seeing before rational understanding.
