The artist Elisabeth Kronseder and the Seeon fountain figure "The Fisherman Boy"

15.03.2025 - 25.05.2025 ,
Kloster Seeon (Seeon Monastery)

Works by Elisabeth Kronseder (1890 - 1990) are on display in the Mesnerhaus of Kloster Seeon (Seeon Monastery), the cultural and educational centre of the district of Upper Bavaria. The exhibition deals with the interesting life of the artist and, with the support of her family, shows bronze sculptures as well as numerous pictures with different motifs. One of these sculptures should be the Seeon fountain figure "Der Fischerbub" (The Fisherman's Boy) and should be the centrepiece of the exhibition. In January, this figure was stolen from the monastery grounds by unknown persons. However, those responsible at Kloster Seeon (Seeon Monastery) were certain that the exhibition would definitely go ahead. The focus will now be on the sketches and other works by the artist Elisabeth Kronseder that were also found in Kloster Seeon (Seeon Monastery).
