Visions of serenity

With works by the artists Michale Glatzel (Munich), Jutta Körner (Gauting), Stefanie von Quast (Gauting), Judith Reiter (Munich), Günter Unbescheid (Jachenau)

Composure helps to remain calm and level-headed in difficult situations and not to be overwhelmed by negative emotions. But nowadays serenity is displaced by a constant agitation and a demand to be able to plan often stands in its way. The search for "visions of serenity" runs through the exhibition in the cloister of Benediktbeuern Monastery as a common thread in the diverse panorama of painting, photography and sculpture. With the constant challenge to the viewer to interpret, the works of art on display form a space in which a new subjective perception becomes possible.
