Rumgekommen (gotten around)
Historical luggage and transport goods made of wicker

Kirchenburgmuseum Mönchsondheim (Open-air museum Kirchenburg Mönchsondheim)
The special exhibition addresses many topics that were of great importance for the development of basket making and the basket trade.
The railway made the flourishing of the basket trade possible in the first place. Transport baskets were needed to pack goods safely for transport. Wickerwork, wicker materials and weaving techniques came to Germany from all over the world. The exhibits that have found their way into the exhibition have also "travelled".
With the increase in travelling, there was also a growing demand for suitcases. How did people travel and what did they take with them? How did emigrants get to America? And what does Louis Vuitton have to do with it? Look forward to the answers!
