Sweet lemons

For the exhibition "Sweet Lemons - The Academy of Fine Arts at the Palace Pavilion", five students from the Akademie der Bildenden Künste (Academy of Fine Arts) Munich transform the historic space into a utopian, idyllic setting of a summer garden landscape.

Inspired by Persian gardens, Marjan Baniasadi, Roman Toulany, Leon Boden and Yaser Bashir, with the support of architecture student Sam Hosseini, have created an atmospherically dense meeting place whose stylised form simultaneously raises questions about diversity, society, hope and expectation. The focus is on collaborative work, which stands in contrast to a personalised and competition-oriented art market. The individual signatures of the individual artists are therefore only occasionally visible.
