The special exhibition in summer 2024 celebrates the 10th anniversary of the Riemersma Collection being transferred to the Käthe Kruse Doll Museum in Donauwörth.

"...dat will ik ook!" thought the Dutchwoman Tiny Riemersma when she saw an extensive collection of Käthe Kruse dolls and decided to collect dolls from this special manufactory herself. Tiny Riemersma continuously expanded and improved her collection until she was finally able to open her privately owned "Käthe Kruse Poppen en speelgoedmuseum" at 25 Binnenhafen in Den Helder in 1988. A phrase from the mouth of Kruse's daughter Hanne Adler-Kruse has been preserved from the opening ceremony of her museum. When the shop bell rang in the silence of the room during the speech, she said to the amusement of the guests: "Käthchen is always late". She was referring to her mother Käthe Kruse (1883-1968).

Many enthusiastic collectors regularly visited the museum in Den Helder and kept in touch with Tiny Riemersma. For 25 years, the museum was a "place of pilgrimage" for anyone who appreciated Käthe Kruse dolls.
