This year, one of the oldest, largest and most beautiful buildings in the town of Oettingen is celebrating its 600th birthday - the KRONE. To mark the occasion, the exhibition in the local history museum is dedicated to the long and varied history of the building, which with its Kronensaal has always been a centre of town life, and takes a look behind the scenes of the latest construction and renovation work. In addition to historical photos, postcards and plans, archaeological finds and artistic views of the building, there will be a documentation of the construction work with photos by Werner Rensing, as well as the latest views of the house and town by the Film- und Fotofreunde Oettingen. We will also be presenting a newly designed media station, where the history of all Oettingen's historic houses will be available in future.
