The Erbendorf Local History and Mining Museum invites visitors on a journey of discovery through the region’s history. A special exhibition currently running under the title “Images that break the mould...” offers a panoramic view of the town’s history.
The exhibition lives up to its name, presenting a diverse array of exhibits that are rarely seen together in this way. Visitors can expect an exciting mix of art, documentation and local pride. “Historical figures are featured alongside some reprints of works by Mollwitz,” says museum director Manfred Klöble.
Impressive honorary citizenship certificates and historical master craftsman’s certificates bear witness to social life and the tradition of craftsmanship. The exhibition is complemented by a selection of old photographs. These show views of buildings from long ago, offer insights into the club life of the past and allow visitors to immerse themselves in the townscape of bygone eras.
“This exhibition is a mosaic of our identity. We are not just showing pictures, but stories,” says museum director Manfred Klöble.
