“Interwoven Worlds” traces a unique journey through Tomás Saraceno’s oeuvre and marks a significant step forward, both in his artistic development and in our understanding of his work. It brings together two central strands of his long-standing research – Aerocene and Arachnophilia – and presents a new, pivotal and collaboratively produced commissioned work: El Santuario del Agua (The Sanctuary of Water), a permanent land art installation in northern Argentina. This is being created in close collaboration with the indigenous communities of Red Atacama from Las Salinas Grandes as part of a campaign to protect the region’s ancestral territories.

The exhibition spans the entire building and features air-powered sculptures, shared habitats for various species, and large-scale installations. These transform the perception of the spaces within the Haus der Kunst and invite visitors to rethink the ecological and social forces shaping the energy transition.
