The new commissioned work for the staff entrance is by Munich-based artist Gülbin Ünlü.
Munich-based artist Gülbin Ünlü. The work, entitled (n)orient, approaches a speculative future in which technology
future in which technology and identity coexist in fluid, interconnected forms. With this spatial installation, the artist undertakes an investigation of techno-orientalism, a critical examination of the appropriation of imagery in visual culture, and the possible lost futures.
The installation is part of a series of site-specific commissioned works, which are an encounter in the
that creates a space for encounters with art in our employees' everyday working lives. Every
year, we invite artists from Munich to respond to this space and create a new work.
to create a new work. This year, Gülbin Ünlü is transforming the passageway into
a transitional space. The audience is invited to imagine other worlds and view them
from a new perspective: a post-science fiction realm in which the narrative of foreignness
in which the narrative of foreignness is reclaimed and reinterpreted.
