In their art, Judith Egger and Oliver Westerbarkey explore the countless manifestations of nature in a playful manner. In their first joint exhibition, they focus on what lies hidden beneath the earth. Through sculptures, drawings, photographic installations and videos, Judith Egger explores the question of what drives the constant cycle of creation and decay in nature. Oliver Westerbarkey’s large-scale dioramas, constructed from natural materials, convincingly mimic the natural world, thereby raising the question of the boundary between nature and art. The exhibition invites us to reflect on our perception. Not everything we see is true, and harmless holes can also be traps into which one might unexpectedly stumble.
