Harald Gnade's paintings are dominated by biomorphic, materially emphasised, often monochrome bodies of colour or landscape fragments. His paintings are usually created under a natural philosophical influence and are symbolically reminiscent of mosses, sponges or vegetation.
The artist likes to remain in limbo: sometimes he emphasises the surface constitution of his paintings, then again he focuses on depth.
Harald Gnade lives and works in Berlin and Sicily.

Stephan Marienfeld has made sculptural processes his language by changing the form and meaning of materials in an astonishing way. The trained stone sculptor was a long-time student and assistant of Tony Cragg. In the meantime, he has established a highly respected position as a sculptor not only in Germany but also internationally and has been teaching at the Kunstakademie Essen since 2003.
The characteristic "Bondage" sculptures have made Stephan Marienfeld internationally recognised. "Bondage" is not only the art of lacing, the term is also synonymous with "mastery". The sculptor uses ropes to lace the hardest materials seemingly effortlessly, mastering stone and metal. With his "Bondage" sculptures, Marienfeld has found a new form that, despite its abstract shape, also has an erotic component. In addition to the interplay between the apparent and the real, between hard and soft, it is the play of light in the round surfaces that particularly fascinates the artist.
Stephan Marienfeld lives and works in Hattingen an der Ruhr.
