FAC SIMILE

A facsimile, derived from the Latin fac simile - to make similar, refers to a replica or reproduction of an original, often in the context of historically significant printed or handwritten documents.

Felix Burger brings together video art positions that explore the boundaries between original and copy and pose questions about authenticity and perception.

The videos offer various approaches to the theme of reproduction: sociotopes in fraternities or holiday camps as representatives of political ideologies (Lion Bischof, Yulia Lokshina), epidermal prostheses as protective spaces (Lena Hamberger) or performative games, between youthful exuberance and militant aggression (Pierre Gaignard).
