Beyond the matter

"Impressions of Eva Hesse" is an exhibition dedicated to the life and work of the late artist Eva Hesse. Hesse was a German-born American sculptor known for her groundbreaking work with materials such as latex, fibreglass and plastic. She is one of the artists who initiated the Postminimal Art movement in the 1960s. The exhibition features 20 artists whose work is inspired by Hesse. Each artist was asked to create a work that references Hesse in some way, whether it be the materials and forms she used or simply her fascinating life. Tragically, she died at the young age of 34. This exhibition is a celebration and tribute to a wonderful artist who continues to inspire others more than 50 years after her death.
