Art is good for the soul! The Upper Bavarian SeelenART Art Promotion Prize supports people who explore their mental health through art. SeelenART nurtures their artistic talents and raises awareness of both their works and the issue of mental health.
The Upper Bavarian SeelenART Art Promotion Prize is awarded every two years by the kbo Social Psychiatric Centre in cooperation with the District of Upper Bavaria. In 2026, artists were selected and honoured by a panel of experts for the eighth time. The SeelenART 2026 exhibition at the Galerie Bezirk Oberbayern brings together works by the first prize-winners.
The award-winning artworks impress with their diversity, high artistic quality, imagination, uniqueness and emotional power. The works represent a profound exploration of joy, pain, fears and fundamental individual and societal issues.

The artists featured in the exhibition:
Tanja Antonini, Andreas Filipp, Laurin Fischer, Pavel Gribov, Iris Hanslmeier, Afrim Hell, Roland Moroff, Günter Neupel, Elfi Roll, Katharina Schellenberger, Faranak Schindler, Julia Schulz, Mark Steffen Weber, Sonja Weingärtner, Juliet Jackson Williams, Rica Zimmermann

A catalogue has been published to accompany the Upper Bavarian Art Promotion Prize ‘SeelenART 2026’.
