Are you moving with the times? What does it actually mean to "move with the times"?
This is the question asked by the 18 museums that are now sending their artefacts on a journey through Lower Franconia for the 15th time.
And so each museum is presenting a borrowed object that does not quite fit into its own exhibition context. But they enable visitors to take in new angles, change their perspective and see the perhaps already familiar permanent exhibition in a new light.
All the exhibits deal with time: the objects tell of the finite nature of which we are sometimes unaware and sometimes particularly aware. Of modernity and the associated attitude to life of an era and society. Some objects indicate time and give time, which initially seems to be infinite and intangible, a unit of measurement. Those who move with the times are open to change, innovation and progress. And so this year's "Strangers", all together and individually, stand for all these different facets of time.
