Art has already travelled through Lower Franconia 14 times - each time under a different motto. This year's theme is the multifaceted concept of arrival.
18 museums are sending their exhibits on a journey that will hopefully not only be well received physically, but also in terms of content. And more than that: they are intended to show surprising angles and refreshing perspectives by presenting them in unusual contexts. It is about arriving in life, being born, and arriving in a certain social class, in a new country or a new home. It is about the longing of people to arrive in the land of their dreams, about the sheltered arrival of saints and gods in a certain place and about people who probably never arrive at their (life) destination, if they have one at all. Finally, it is about parcels or letters that can travel thousands of kilometres and tell of life abroad or at the front.
18 houses invite visitors on a journey of discovery throughout Lower Franconia. This is made possible by the long-standing support of the district of Lower Franconia. Make your way through the diverse Lower Franconian museum landscape and let the exciting (art) stories be told to you!
