Timetravel Fichtelgebirge - eine virtuelle Zeitreise durch die Region

"I am Luise, Queen of Prussia. I was travelling through the Fichtelgebirge with my husband in 1805". Historical figures who are important to the history of the Fichtelgebirge region talk to visitors in this and similar ways in the new VR experience area. The six stories are linked to important industries in the region that have developed due to the availability of raw materials and innovative entrepreneurs. The respective maker story is complemented by objects from the museum, which are brought to life by digitised objects and AI. This exciting, virtual-immersive adventure was made possible by the collaboration with Hof University of Applied Sciences.

Anyone wishing to meet Luise von Preußen, C.M. Hutschenreuther, Sigmund Wann, Johann Matthäus Wanderer, Alexander von Humboldt or Johann Wolfgang von Goethe virtually in places steeped in history can now do so at the FICHTELGEBIRGS.MUSEUM Wunsiedel.
The exhibition area is complemented by the amusing 15-minute film "Werners Timetravel - immer des neimodische Zeich!", which can be seen exclusively at the Fichtelgebirgsmuseum (Fichtel Mountains Museum). Werner and Wernerette slip into historical characters for the first time and experience a wild journey through time and VR space. A fascinating experience for the whole family.

If you book in advance, you will have the opportunity to experience the journey through time with VR glasses from January 2025: Every last Tuesday of the month, from 10am-12pm, time slot of 30 minutes for 2 people.
