The new special exhibition "50 years of the Munich Olympic Stadium - FC Bayern under the marquee roof" at the FC Bayern Museum (FC Bayern Museum) now focuses on what happened between 1972 and 2005 at the world-famous venue under the banner of the German record champions. The club had its sporting home here for 33 years, played 793 matches and scored 2094 goals. "When FC Bayern moved to the Allianz Arena, the club was able to set up its museum in its new venue. As many Munich residents still carry the Olympic Stadium as a memory in their hearts today, we are delighted to highlight this historic arena in our special exhibition," said Petra Leufstedt, Director of the FC Bayern Museum, after an initial tour.
More than 31 million spectators have attended FC Bayern matches in the Olympic Stadium. The exhibition, which was designed to mark the 50th anniversary of the 1972 Olympic Games, takes visitors back in time and allows them to relive important encounters, great successes and curious moments.
