One give and two take

The photographer and artist Olaf Unverzart presents a cross-section of his work from three decades, excerpts from different series, artist books and vintage prints in his native town of Waldmünchen. His heterogeneous visual world is characterised by two major photographic fields: New Topography and Street Photography.
The multi-award-winning artist often works in parallel on several photographic long-term studies. He expands the documentary tradition of photography with an almost poetic approach. People and landscape play an important role in Unverzart's work. His work is characterised by a variety of visual languages and complexity. Olaf Unverzart has published in renowned German magazines such as GEO, ZEIT Magazin and SZ-Magazin. His book projects such as HUNDERT (2016), ALP (2014) or ÉTÉ (2020, with Sebastian Schels) are also highly regarded.
