Kornhäuschen (Grain cottage) is looking forward to the exhibition Real Realities with paintings by Aschaffenburg-based artist Jennifer Maus.

Ordinary everyday objects and contemporary artefacts contrast with classic baroque elements from Dutch still life painters. These include reflective objects that distort the surrounding space in order to open up an additional pictorial space and thus a further reality. Through the precise drawing and contours in the depiction, as well as the cool and clear lighting situation, the artist strives for an exaggeration of profane reality.
