GEDOK Munich invited to cooperate with artists from GEDOK Hamburg. Three exciting exhibitions will be visible in 2024. We start with Ele Runge, Daria Karmina Jossifa (GEDOK Hamburg) and Reinhild Gerum, Franziska Stürz (GEDOK Munich)

Crises surround us, but it is difficult to influence them. The reaction is one of burgeoning panic or denial. The distance and helplessness, the feeling of helplessness is the subject of the joint work.

Reinhild Gerum - Gedok Munich - studied painting, graphics and architecture at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste (Academy of Fine Arts) in Munich. Through decades of artistic work with psychiatric patients, collecting and processing human stories became an important part of her work. Co-operative exhibitions have repeatedly taken her abroad, e.g. to Brazil, Bulgaria and Cuba.

Ele Runge - Gedok Hamburg - studied art and graphic design in Hamburg. She has long been focussing on precarious living conditions and their effects on people and their environment. In particular, she collects the reports of women, diverse stories about visibility and invisibility, about oppression and resistance. She works on this thematic basis alone or in collaborations, with photography, video and sound.

Daria-Karmina Jossifova, pianist Daria-Karmina Iossifova is a Bulgarian pianist who has found her second home in Hamburg. Her passion for free improvisation brought her together with the TonArt ensemble. She will bring her toy piano with her and play on it. She will be introduced in conversation with Franziska Stürz, singer and music journalist, music advisory board member of GEDOK Munich.
