In 2023, the artist Claudia Mann, who was born in Wuppertal in 1982 and now lives and works in Düsseldorf, received the prestigious sponsorship award, which is linked to an exhibition in the following year.

"Floors are sculptures". Based on this assumption, Claudia Mann creates a multifaceted and sensitive oeuvre of moulds and transformations that are carefully prepared and reworked. Her sculptural work revolves around the connection between the human body and the physical ground and the sentient self. In her works, Claudia Mann always assumes that the ground already harbours sculptural potential. The non-measurable parameters are the key to her understanding of the work. In this context, for example, she creates casts of depressions in the earth, which are then presented upright and corporeal in space, thus enabling a shift in perspective. The sculptor models clay and earth under the same conditions and presents us with a possible affiliation that makes the seemingly self-evident visible.

Using photographs of the Fischer couple's living spaces in Munich and Berlin, their private and diverse collection is explored spatially. The lively presentation not only thematises private collecting and public donations, but also makes clear how the Fischer's actions could lead to a museum project in cooperation with the committed town of Neumarkt i.d.OPf.
