That less can be more is one of the most important lessons of modernity. The artist Susanne Roth (born 1973 in Schweinfurt, lives and works in Fürth) proves this time and again in her sheets and objects. Responding to what is and not simply setting what should be, that is the secret of her art. Only in this way can minimalism and richness fall into one.
Susanne Roth feels her way into old papers and cardboard boxes, traces their history and thinks it away. The artistic action is always inspired by the material, which does not exclude the influence of experiences and images that the artist collects in nature. The exhibition title borrowed from a group of works hints at this dimension. Her paintings are such landscapes, which also manage without a mountain.
