When Hans Christian Andersen travelled to Lake Starnberg for the first time in 1852, he was already a famous poet. He came at the invitation of the Bavarian king. Together they travelled on the lake in a dolphin. The boat is now in the museum and is the starting point for a very special audio tour.

The winter audio play is based on the fairy tale The Christmas Tree by Hans Christian Andersen. It takes you through the exhibition rooms in 10 episodes and was created especially for the museum. It can be listened to using free loan devices or on your own smartphone.
