Soumisha Dauthel - Floating Colours and Shapes

In her solo exhibition "Floating Colors and Shapes", Soumisha Dauthel explores the diverse and contrasting relationships between colour and form in painting. Since 1990, the artist has developed a process that allows her to paint in a dissociated way. She cuts out fragments and parts of her paintings from different periods and then assembles them into unexpected connections, playing with the boundaries between painting, sculpture and installation. This approach to painting, which she has chosen as a pictorial expression, also corresponds to her personal mythology, the confrontation and encounter with cultures.
